Refund

What can you do with your spring room and board refund?

Consider putting the funds towards your current student loan debt. Once you have your refund in your bank account, go to your loan servicer’s website and make a payment.  By making extra payments towards your student loan debt can save you thousands of dollars in the long term and you can become debt free faster.

To get started, you will need to know who services your student loan.

To find your loan servicer online:

1. Log on to the National Student Loan Data System (https://nslds.ed.gov) with your FSA ID (the same one you used for the FAFSA).

2. Find an “aid summary” chart that provides details about your student loans.

3. Click on an individual loan to locate your loan servicer information.

You can also call the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC)  at 1-800-433-3243.
