Initial Awarding

• FAFSA submitted by recommended date       
• Indicated an interest in FWS on FAFSA
• Meet eligibility criteria
• Fall within index range for FWS awards:
  • Index = (COA-EFC)/COA X 100 (FWS index 2022/23 = 97-80)
• Until funding is exhausted

Awarded by Exception

• Request consideration through OSA review
• Meet eligibility criteria
• Have demonstrated federal financial need
• Fall within exception totals/campus
• Funding availability
